Westminster Presbyterian Church seeks a Praise Band
Director to direct all music activity at its 9 a.m. contemporary
worship service each Sunday. Skills include singing and playing
an instrument. Candidate must have a vibrant faith along with
experience singing, playing an instrument (preferably piano) and
directing singers and musicians in worship. This is a part-time
position, up to 10 hours a week. Salary commensurate with

Chris became a part of the Westminster staff in August of 2017.
“I feel I’m being led to this church,” said Chris, who has been
playing in bands for a “lifetime.” As a pianist,
cellist, and vocalist, her many skills will enhance the
already thriving group at the 9 a.m. service. For a long time she
had been praying about a way to incorporate her love of music
with her faith, and when she heard about the Praise Band position
she immediately applied.
“I prayed, I auditioned, I interviewed,” she says. One exciting
aspect of the position, she said, is the ability to express
and create as part of the Praise Band. Chris also shares her
musical skills with people in memory care facilities, where she
leads them in the oldies but goodies, encouraging them to join in
During the week Chris is busy working in a construction office,
but she always finds time for her family, especially her son
Mitchell and his boy.
