Westminster Presbyterian Church seeks a Praise Band Director to direct all music activity at its 9 a.m. contemporary worship service each Sunday. Skills include singing and playing an instrument. Candidate must have a vibrant faith along with experience singing, playing an instrument (preferably piano) and directing singers and musicians in worship. This is a part-time position, up to 10 hours a week. Salary commensurate with experience. Please send resume to Pastor Wes Nordman at email@example.com
All are invited to participate in a night of fundraising and friendly competition.
On Saturday, Jan. 26, the Deacons will be hosting the 2nd annual Westminster “Soup Or Bowl” from 5:30-7 p.m.
You don’t even need to compete, just come to eat, judge the entrants, try to win wonderful raffle prizes and enjoy the fun! It’s all for a good cause!
If you want to compete, simply bring soup, chili, chowder, or anything that can be served in a bowl…get it?!
There will be great prizes for the winners in several categories. We had several entries last year (with Patty Fairbanks taking home the blue ribbon), but there weren’t enough people to enjoy it all!
We will be collecting a free-will offering (suggested donation $6, maximum $20 per family) at the door that will benefit the Deacon’s fund and their continued support of local charities, specifically, River City Food Bank and the amazing work they do to support the homeless, hungry and refugee communities in Sacramento. There will also be drinks available for a small donation. This year, we’re adding a 50-50 raffle…the more people that attend and purchase tickets, the more we raise and the bigger the prize!
So join us for a night of fun, fellowship, and ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT soup, chili, and other bowl-worthy foods!
